A Path to Empowerment for Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs

In partnership with the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association, NADF is delivering two programs to support Indigenous women entrepreneurs:

  • Women Entrepreneurship Fund
  • Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Program

The programs offer financing, tools, business support, and training for Indigenous women entrepreneurs to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams and thrive in their business ventures.

Whether you are at the start-up stage or seeking to expand, our tailored programs and guidance aim to empower you with the necessary skills, funding, and networks to succeed in your entrepreneurial journey.

We are here to assist Northern Ontario Indigenous women with a desire to:

  • start or grow a business
  • overcome barriers and access funding
  • build their credit, and
  • leverage financing and support services

     

    Eligibility

    • be an Indigenous woman over the age of 18 years
    • must be a wholly owned or majority-owned (51%) Indigenous women-led business
    • business must be located and operating in NADF’s service area

     

    What We Offer

    Financing

    The programs are designed for full-time, part-time and/or home-based Indigenous women-led businesses requiring smaller loans and who may lack access to conventional financing.

    • Up to $50,000 in financing
    • 5% equity requirement
    • Repayable over 5 years
    • 8.5% interest rate

    Non-repayable amounts or grants are sometimes available through specific funding initiatives at the time of application.

    Funding is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

     

    Workshops

    Designed for Indigenous women entrepreneurs who want to start or grow their business. These workshops will prepare you to take the next step in your entrepreneurial journey.
